Amber, a 28-year-old woman from Georgia, drove across state lines to obtain medication abortion care just weeks after Roe was overturned. When the abortion failed to complete, she was unable to get the care she needed.
Candi, a mother of three in Georgia, was told by doctors that having another baby could kill her. Because of the chaos and confusion caused by Georgia's abortion ban, Candi and her family feared that she would be criminalized for seeking life-saving care that she needed, and she ultimately lost her life, and her children lost their mother.
Amber and Candi should both still be alive—and care shouldn't be dependent on geography. That's why we're fighting for a future where no one else suffers.
