john,
Since Republicans took the House majority in 2022, the House has been stuck in a cycle of chaos and dysfunction.
In fact, one year ago today, the House GOP removed Kevin McCarthy from the speakership and declared a vote for a new leader who wouldn’t get in the way of their political games. It took Kevin McCarthy 15 rounds of voting to be elected Speaker in the first place - and one quick vote to dispel him from leadership immediately.
Under GOP leadership, we’ve faced the brink of multiple government shutdowns, seen GOP-led bills fail because of infighting, and watched as their leadership changes the moment anyone tries to work for the people. This isn’t how government is supposed to work. The American people deserve so much more.
Democrats are united on one core mission: To work for the American people every time they step foot in the Capitol Building. But to ensure progress ensues, and not this GOP destruction, we have to take back the House.
On the anniversary of Kevin McCarthy’s dismissal from leadership, we’re asking you to recommit your support to help Democrats take back the House. Will you chip in today to help re-elect Kim, keep WA-08 blue, and do your part to kick the GOP out of the majority once and for all?
