I want to take a moment to share with you what we have been fighting for and accomplishing in Congress on behalf of the American people. Despite the challenges of working with a Democrat-controlled White House and Senate, we’ve remained steadfast in our mission to uphold conservative values and bring real solutions to the issues facing our nation. Here are some key highlights of what we have achieved:
Restoring American Energy IndependenceWe passed H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act, to cut red tape and unleash domestic energy production, putting an end to our reliance on hostile foreign nations. Our goal is simple: bring down costs for American families and secure our energy future. Securing Our Southern BorderWith over 8.2 million illegal immigrants flooding across the border under President Biden’s disastrous policies, we fought for and passed H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act—the strongest border security bill in U.S. history. We’ve increased border patrol agents, resumed construction of the wall, and taken action to stop the deadly flow of fentanyl into our communities. Defending Parental RightsIn response to the left's efforts to remove parents from the conversation on education, we passed H.R. 5, the Parents Bill of Rights Act. We ensured parents have a voice in their child’s education and transparency about what’s being taught in the classroom. Parents should be in control—not bureaucrats or woke activists. Standing with IsraelIn the wake of the October 7th terrorist attacks, we stood firmly by our ally Israel, passing H.R. 6126 to quickly provide military aid and ensure they can defend themselves against terror. We will always stand by those fighting for freedom. Holding China AccountableWe passed strong legislation to counter the threat of the Chinese Communist Party. From protecting American farmland to securing our intellectual property, we are committed to defending our nation from foreign adversaries. Protecting LifeWe proudly passed H.R. 26, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, ensuring life-saving medical care for babies who survive an attempted abortion. Life is sacred, and we will never stop fighting to protect it.
These are just a few of the many things we have accomplished together. We still have a lot of work ahead, but know that I will continue to stand strong for the principles and values that matter most to our great nation.

Let me be crystal clear: I stand with Israel now and always, and freedom-loving, peaceful countries should too.
Israel is under relentless attack.
The Iranian regime thrives on chaos and bloodshed, with brutality that knows no bounds. The heinous assaults on Israel serve as a stark reminder of Iran's maniacal, genocidal desire to wipe Israel and the Jewish people literally off of the map These despicable efforts must be condemned.
Israel is our greatest ally, and we must never forsake her—Not now! Not ever!
President Biden said Wednesday that he would not support an attack by Israel on Iranian nuclear sites in retaliation for Iran's firing of 181 missiles at Israel amid fears that a lethal regional war is around the corner.

This week, the House Committee on Homeland Security released a new “Terror Threat Snapshot” assessment, highlighting the persistent terror threat to America, the West, and the world from foreign jihadist networks like ISIS and other terrorists. In particular, cases of foreign jihadist networks and Homegrown Violent Extremists (HVEs) continue to be a serious issue of concern, especially following the Biden-Harris administration’s catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan and the attacks on our ally Israel by the Iran-backed terrorist group Hamas. In the wake of these events, our wide-open borders and the anti-enforcement policies of the Biden-Harris administration have further emboldened America’s adversaries.
Three years out from the Biden-Harris administration’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, where an Islamic state operative suicide bomber killed 170 people, including 13 U.S. service members, America’s weakness on the world stage has emboldened state sponsors of terrorism, such as Iran. - Since April 2021, there have been more than 50 extremism cases in 29 U.S. states from California to New York. Many of these cases involve U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) convictions of individuals, who have provided material support to foreign terrorist organizations like ISIS.
- As geopolitical tensions rise across the globe, and state sponsors of terrorism become emboldened, threats from terrorism are growing. In testimony before the Senate last December, FBI Director Christopher Wray said that in his decades-long career he could not remember a time when so many threats were all “elevated at the exact same time.”
- Most recently, on September 11, 2024, a Pakistani national with ties to Iran was charged in attempting to commit an act of terrorism transcending national boundaries and murder-for-hire as a part of a scheme to assassinate a politician or U.S. government official on U.S. soil.
The wide-open Southwest border, thanks to President Joe Biden and Vice President and “border czar” Kamala Harris’ open-borders agenda, is no doubt contributing to the growing threats facing our nation. - Since FY21, 382 individuals on the terrorist watchlist have been apprehended between ports of entry at the Southwest border. There were only 11 of these encounters from FY17-FY20. In addition, roughly two million gotaways have evaded apprehension at the Southwest border, and law enforcement has no way of knowing their intentions.
- On June 9, 2024, eight Tajikistan nationals with alleged ties to ISIS were arrested in New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. Federal agents tracked the men as they crossed the border and were concerned they could have been plotting a terrorist attack on U.S. soil.
When testifying before the Committee last year, Director Wray confirmed that threats coming across our borders are consuming Joint Terrorism Task Forces in FBI field offices across the country, and the increasing number of individuals on the terror watchlist entering our country is of great concern to him

It's been a busy and productive week here in TX-14!
This week, I had the privilege of joining some of our hardworking Brazoria County mayors for breakfast. We had important discussions about the challenges their communities are facing and how I’m working in Washington to address them. I want to extend my gratitude to these dedicated local leaders for their time and commitment to serving our great Texas communities.
National Night Out was another huge success this year! We visited nine different events throughout the district, engaging with law enforcement, first responders, and neighbors. National Night Out is a wonderful initiative that strengthens the relationship between police and the community, fostering a sense of neighborhood camaraderie and safety. When neighbors know each other, they look out for one another, which is key to crime prevention. Thank you to everyone who participated in this fantastic event!
Team Weber also attended the Texas Chemistry Council’s Annual Industry Luncheon and joined Brazoria County leaders for the Legislative Agricultural Tour. It was great to connect with industry professionals and agricultural experts to discuss the issues that matter most to our district.
