Activists and climate champions from all corners of the globe recently converged in New York City to demand urgent action to address the climate crisis.
Building on decades of solidarity with Amazonian Indigenous leaders, Amazon Watch stood alongside our partners to ensure that their voices, demands, and solutions were front and center at every event.
Together, we amplified their calls for Indigenous land rights and climate justice on the path to the historic COP30 in Brazil in 2025.
While the Amazon rainforest burns in the worst fires seen in over 20 years, allies from Brazil, Peru, and Ecuador have sounded the alarm and demanded just solutions to the crisis.
