In this time of coronavirus-forced social distancing, Brady is partnering with Tears of a Mother’s Cry to host a virtual Mother’s Day. Our virtual event will give mothers a chance to tell the world about their children — who they were, and who they should have grown up to be — while also drawing attention to everyday gun violence and the urgent need to take action against it.
You will hear from Rep. Lucy McBath (GA-06), whose 17-year-old son, Jordan, was shot and murdered in 2012 at a gas station by a man who thought he and his friends were playing music too loudly; Team ENOUGH’s Tatiana Washington, who lost her aunt in an act of domestic violence; Ms. Millie Brown, founder of Tears of a Mother’s Cry, an organization which supports and uplifts dozens of families in Baltimore who have lost children to gun violence; and Ms. Burnett McFadden, Giselle Mörch, Tracy Coleman, Rashieda Murray, and Ava Mackall, mothers who have had their sons taken from them, and are survivors of gun violence.
(L-R) Brothers Reginald, Randolph, and Linton, brothers Romar and Roderick Burden, brothers Cordell and Cornelius Bruce, David Mackall Jr., and Jaycee Webster.
