Friend — earlier this week, a major donor put up a $100,000 challenge grant that only kicked in if 1,500 LCV members also pitched in before midnight on #GivingTuesdayNow.
Last night was the deadline. We came up 97 donations short of unlocking the grant.
We just got approval to extend one more day. If everyone reading this pitched in — even just $5 — we'd blow through that goal. Small gifts count just as much as big ones, and we get to count monthly gifts twelve times.
So deep breath — we have a real shot here. LCV's work has never been more urgent than it is now. As COVID-19 sweeps the country, we're facing some of the most important environmental fights of the year.
I hope we can count on your support — before the final deadline at midnight tonight.
One more day. 97 more donations to go. Please, friend — donate to League of Conservation Voters now, and help us meet the #GivingTuesdayNow challenge. Gifts of any amount count — even $5 makes a huge difference!

This is a goal that matters, friend — because it will fundamentally change what we can do to fight back against the Trump administration. Here's just part of what's moving right now:
- Under cover of the pandemic, the Trump administration has undermined EPA safety measures cutting mercury and other toxic air pollutants. These are pollutants that have already been linked to higher COVID-19 death rates all over the country. Amid a public health crisis, where tens of thousands of people are dying from a virus that directly targets the respiratory system, the Trump administration is actively making it harder for people to breathe. This is quite literally a matter of life and death. Make a gift to LCV today to help us force the EPA to do its job »
- These attacks on the environment disproportionately affect low-income folks and communities of color, who are already more likely to live in areas with high levels of air pollution, and therefore have a higher risk of dying from this virus. This virus is already targeting our most vulnerable communities, and Trump is deliberately making the problem worse. Please, make an emergency gift today. Even $5 makes a huge difference »
- When we stopped Trump's attempt to score bailout money for the oil and gas companies in the first coronavirus relief bill, he turned around and added executives from the top oil producers to his official task force to re-open the country. Now they're trying to change the Main Street program meant to help local mom and pop businesses so huge indebted oil companies can get cheap loans instead. They are still pushing hard — by any means necessary — to get a bailout. You can stop them. Make a donation to LCV today »
We wouldn't be able to do this work without your help, friend. Thank you for your generosity, and everything that you do for the environment.
Sincerely,
Gene Karpinski
