You might already know this, John, but just in case: Ballots are dropping in just 72 hours.

Not long after ballots drop in the mail, all eligible voters in California will receive them and officially begin voting. This includes the countless California voters living in the swing districts that will decide control of the U.S. House this year.

As Organizing Director here at the California Democratic Party, that means it is officially crunch time. We need a swell of resources to ensure we reach the undecided voters who will start making their final decisions in just a matter of DAYS.

Will you rush a donation right now to fuel our mobilization and persuasion programs? Every time we get a new batch of donations in the door, we are greenlighting new canvasses, phone-banks, and community events to reach undecided voters.

John, it is tempting to think that we still have a month to organize and connect with voters who are still on the fence.

But in reality, ballots will be on their way to voters within the next 72 hours. That means this is a critical weekend to hold events for reaching undecided voters. Once people have ballots in their hands, they will begin voting and we LOSE the opportunity to convince them to vote Democratic.

With control of the U.S. House on the line here in California, we cannot afford to slow down at this make-or-break moment. This weekend and the coming days will be critical, and I want to expand our outreach efforts — but I can’t overspend my budget.
