At a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump promised to deliver “gigantic tax cuts” by ending the tax on tips, overtime, and social security benefits for seniors. But then he admitted he “hated” paying his staff overtime and would instead replace them with other workers to avoid doing so. And the reality is that Trump’s Project 2025 would actually take away many workers’ rights to overtime in the first place!
Despite all this, Trump still leads polls on his handling of the economy and trade. Which means we have some MAJOR work to do.
In 2016, Donald Trump won the White House by promising to be a “worker’s champion” and vowing to stop the offshoring of American jobs. Working-class voters across the Midwest took him at his word, turning key counties from blue to red and delivering him the presidency.
Four years later, Trump failed to deliver. And in 2020 we set out to make sure voters saw through his lies. We organized workers across the Midwest to flip those counties back by exposing Trump’s lies and broken promises.
It worked. And now we have 31 days to do it again.

As this week’s debate proved, Trump and Vance are relying on their faux populist narrative on trade in battleground states to help them win because they know that it resonates with swing voters.
But while polling shows that voters initially think Trump is stronger on trade, when they’re told the TRUTH – that Trump’s trade deals were favorable to the pharmaceutical and Big Tech industries – a majority of voters switch and say they prefer Harris’s pro-worker protections and corporate accountability!
After over a year of conversations with thousands of working-class voters, we’ve taken what we’ve learned and come up with a road map to build relationships with and persuade these voters to turn out for candidates who will fight for them.
Now we need to reach as many people as possible with that messaging. And we’re going to do it, together.
