The brain-damaging pesticide chlorpyrifos is back on the menu.

The dangers of chlorpyrifos have been known for years. In fact, it's so hazardous to kids that the EPA banned it in 2021. But last year, that ban was reversed -- and now this pesticide is back to threaten our kids' health again.[1]

Toxic pesticides don't belong on our food. We need to get chlorpyrifos banned again -- for good.

Exposure to chlorpyrifos has been linked to neurological damage and developmental problems in kids.[2] That's why it was banned for household use more than a decade ago.

But even after the household ban, chlorpyrifos was still used widely on farms. Farmers were still allowed to spray it on food -- citrus trees, apple orchards, fields of strawberries, broccoli and more.[3]

The result? Traces of chlorpyrifos remain on food on grocery store shelves and make it all the way into the meals we prepare for our families. The EPA found that children can ingest up to 140 times the safety limit for chlorpyrifos in their lifetimes.[4]

The 2021 ban on chlorpyrifos ended up being only a temporary reprieve. Just two years later, the ban was overturned -- and now, chlorpyrifos is back.[5]

Chlorpyrifos is too dangerous to allow on our farms and food. Take action to ban this brain-damaging pesticide today.

It's not too late to protect kids from chlorpyrifos. The EPA still has the power to make the final decision on whether or not its total ban on chlorpyrifos should be reinstated.

And when we raise our voices together, we know we can convince the EPA to do the right thing. Together, we sent tens of thousands of messages to the EPA calling for the first ban on chlorpyrifos -- and the agency listened.

Science is on our side. Our voices can make all the difference.
