When I spoke with Stacey Abrams about gun safety and COVID-19, November was on both of our minds.
Everytown for Gun Safety

Dear John,

Stacey Abrams is a ray of light in American politics, particularly in these unnerving times.

I had the honor to spend some time with Stacey as the inaugural guest of our new online series, "Demanding Women: Quarantine Conversations About Gun Violence." During our talk, Stacey said, "We have to win back America."

We're going to accomplish this by organizing in our states, registering new voters, expanding voter access so everyone can safely vote, and electing Gun Sense Candidates in November.

Please join me in honoring these words and all those who work every day for a safer, more equitable society. Pledge right now to do everything in your power to defeat the gun lobby and win back America this November. We'll be in touch in the near future about just how you can help us organize and win.

MAKE THE PLEDGE

Stacey reminded us that COVID-19 and gun violence are alike in that they disproportionately impact Black and brown communities. In both cases, the communities that are already under-invested in and under-resourced are most likely to suffer. In spite of the suffering caused by this pandemic, the daily toll of gun violence, and the continued struggle for our full voting rights, Stacey remains deeply hopeful.

"We can elect leaders who believe in the constitution and also believe in gun safety," she said, but "we have to believe we can create change."

Please join us today and pledge to help us create change in November.

Thanks for all you do,
