John,Most Americans do not hold the same extreme views as radical Republicans like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Mike Johnson, and Matt Gaetz.

These MAGA Republicans might be in power, but they’re deeply out of touch with the American people:

* While 80% of Americans support legal abortion, MAGA Republicans have been leading abortion ban legislation at the state and national levels.
* While most Americans support equal rights and protections for the LGBTQ+ community, the MAGA agenda actively promotes anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and policies.
* And while most Americans broadly agree we should pass more gun safety legislation — 90% of voters support universal background checks — Republicans in power continue to block life-saving, common sense laws.

Here’s the secret behind these radical voices’ hold on power: extreme partisan gerrymandering. (Don’t take it from us — they don’t even try to hide it!)

But here's the good news,John: Because of this movement's work, the U.S. House map is the fairest in a generation and elections experts believe control of the House is a toss up.

When maps are fair, Democrats do better. And the outcome of several state-level races this year will determine how well we can fight partisan gerrymandering for years to come.

The reason we focus so much of our effort on the races we do is because they are key firewalls against Republican gerrymandering initiatives.

The candidates we’ve endorsed as Democracy Defenders are running for state-level offices that are essential to protecting and strengthening democracy around the country.

Your donation will be put to use to strategically fight for the races that will most affect the future of this fight for fair maps — chip in what you can and let’s do the hard work to strengthen our democracy, and allow every American to have an equal voice in our government. [[link removed]]

We’re seeing our efforts pay off in the form of fair maps. But opponents of fair maps are still actively undermining redistricting reform and promoting election denialism.

We’ve got to keep working. Thank you for doing your part.
