Friend—

I lead PETA's field team, and over the last seven weeks, I've seen firsthand how
the COVID-19 pandemic is putting families in impoverished areas of Virginia and
North Carolina in the impossible position of not being able to provide for the
beloved animals in their lives.

I was so excited to see the outpouring of generosity from PETA supporters during
yesterday's #GivingTuesdayNow. But the calls for help won't be letting up
anytime soon, and we still need more resources to secure care for every animal

I've just learned that our donor has agreed to extend the special matching offer
for one more day! If 500 more people pitch in today, PETA will receive an additional $5,000.
Every penny will help dogs, cats, and other companion animals who need us— will you click here and make a donation?

My team is doing all that it can to ensure that every animal who relies on us
gets help.

Dog and cat food isn't the only thing families need our help with. With many
veterinary offices suspending all but the most urgent of procedures, PETA's
clinics are filling in the gap, providing drive-up access to free and low-cost
spay/neuter surgeries and other vital veterinary services:

I never want to have to turn anyone away, which is why I'm crossing my fingers
that later today I'll be able to tell the rest of my team members that we'll
have $5,000 more to support their vital work. Each $5 you give can feed one dog
for an entire week. Please pitch in with a gift right now—if we get 500 additional donors today,
that's $5,000 more to care for animals in desperate need.

Your gift today

and love that every animal deserves.

I'm so grateful to have a community of compassionate people like you supporting
us in our work for animals every day. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Emily
