Converting Your Anger to Action -- More Ways YOU Can Get Out the Vote and DO SOMETHING!
|
As we enter the final stretch to Election Day, are you feeling you want to DO MORE? Then, try one of these vital activities. Better yet, invite a friend to join you. What can you commit to between now and Election Day so that you don't wake up on November 6th feeling regret?
Talk to people!
- Study after study shows that we respond best to our peers on election issues. Try Indivisible's cool Neighbor2Neighbor tool. Neighbor2Neighbor. Register and receive a list of 10 Dems in your neighborhood who would benefit from a chat with you about the election, as well as a script and handouts.
Register voters!
Help voters cast votes!
- Get trained to answer voter's questions (where do I vote? how do I request a mail-in ballot?), and take shifts on a National Voter Assistance Hotline: Voter Assistance Hotline Interest Form.
- Get trained to help voters "cure" their ballots if they have been rejected by the County Clerk. These are rewarding calls to make, as voters urgently want their ballots to count. DNC Cure Team Hotline.
- Check your own voting situation, especially if you're in a swing state experiencing voter roll purges. Are you still registered? Where, when, and how can you vote? Vote.org’s Everything You Need to Vote has that info.
- Consider being a poll worker to help us have safe, efficient, and fair elections. You will be trained, and sometimes paid, and can be proud of your service. Powerthepolls Staff Your Local Polling Place helps you volunteer.
Finally, forward this message to three friends. You've done something great already!
