As the death toll from Hurricane Helene continues to rise, Donald Trump is doing what he does best: lobbing lies and attacks. While families are mourning, Trump’s focus is on spreading misinformation and blaming everyone but himself. It’s shameful, it’s cruel, and it’s exactly why he’s unfit to lead.

We’ve seen this—and reported on this—before. When faced with a crisis, Trump’s instinct is to protect his ego rather than the American people. His latest comments show a complete lack of empathy and decency—traits that are essential for any leader, but especially for the president.
