All eyes are on Pennsylvania and we are working hard to deliver the White House to Kamala Harris. Here is a quick snapshot of what we’ve been up to lately:
On the Ground: Republicans have made enormous voter registration gains in the last few years, leaving Democrats with the smallest advantage – just a few percent – in decades. So…most of us in the region are doing both persuasion and turnout, and our robust field operation is canvassing seven days a week, coordinating closely up and down the ballot, and has already knocked on over 18,000 doors.
Harris-Walz: They have 50 offices in the state and over 350 staff. We’re working closely with their team, which is why Chrissy recently spent a Sunday morning at a Women for Harris breakfast in Lancaster (not our district). Chrissy is active on the Harris-Walz National Advisory Board and is also, as a Polish American herself who has been a consistent advocate for Ukraine, leading PA’s Polish outreach efforts.
Opponent: Our district is a purple place with a good mix of urban, suburban, and rural. Voter registration is roughly 40% Democrat, 40% Republican, and 20% Independent. Chrissy is running against a high school teacher who talks about school reform, public safety, inflation, and Israel. If you’re up our way, you can see him driving a giant campaign bus around the district.
Campaign Spending: We are spending a lot on field staff and everything to support those efforts (software, yard signs, T-shirts, bumper stickers, food for volunteers), direct mail, field, online advertising, field, radio advertising, and more field. Thank you for supporting this effort.
In the News: Chrissy was on CBS’s Face the Nation recently to talk about her appointment to, and the latest news from, the task force investigating the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. She was recognized for being the 20th most bipartisan member of the House. She continues to push for better training for members on handling classified information. She just wrapped up her 90th town hall (90th!) – which is more than anyone else in the Pennsylvania delegation. Not that we’re competitive or anything. 😊
