Dear John,
Americans for Prosperity’s grassroots team converged on Capitol Hill to take
part in another successful Capitol Conference last week.
Over the course of 48 action-packed hours, our team connected with 230
lawmakers to share how the looming fiscal cliff — including scheduled tax hikes
— could devastate American families and small businesses.
In meetings with lawmakers, like the one shared by AFP-Pennsylvania State
Director Emily Greene, she explained how the 2025 fiscal cliff could cost the
American people even more of their hard-earned money.

On average, American families are already paying $1,000 more every month than
they did in 2021 for basic needs. So, tax hikes seem like a particularly bad
idea right now.
A recent AFP poll found that 90% of voters support keeping the current tax
rates.
We know how deeply you care about these issues. But let’s face it — heading to
Washington isn’t possible for most Americans. Your work, your family, and your
community take priority.
That’s why we go to Capitol Hill for you — to elevate your voice.

Thank you for being part of this movement.
Together, we’re making a real difference for our country and ensuring that
prosperity is possible for every American.
Best,
