Friend,
We are ONE WEEK AWAY from the 5th Circuit DACA hearing that could decide the program’s fate.
This is the second time the 5th Circuit will rule on the DACA program, after their negative decision two years ago. Any decision they make will likely get appealed to the Supreme Court — which we know is now packed with conservative judges.
We don’t have much time left to prepare for the hearing one week from today. Will you pitch in $10 today to help us mount our response for the DACA fights ahead?

Make no mistake: If the 5th Circuit decides to end DACA without a safety net of other protections in place, the consequences for our country will be catastrophic.
If DACA renewals are halted, it would mean that for each month over the next two years, some 1,600 DACA recipients working in health care, including doctors and nurses, 800 educational professionals like teachers and teacher aides, and 600 personal care workers in child or senior care would be forced out of their jobs.
Losing DACA wouldn’t just affect the hundreds of thousands of immigrant youth who rely on the program to live and work free from the fear of deportation. We would feel ripple effects in our schools, hospitals, senior centers, and across the country.
But the reality is that the Biden Administration, Congress, and even our state and local elected officials do not have to wait for the courts to rule to deliver urgent protections for our communities. They can act right now to protect the hundreds of thousands of DACA recipients and those who rely on them.
Anything short of delivering urgent protections for our communities is reckless and would intentionally leave hundreds of thousands of peoples’ lives on the line.
With so much at stake, we can’t afford to be unprepared for all possible outcomes. Will you pitch in any amount today to support the DACA fights ahead?

This has been the story of DACA ever since its inception — immigrant youth and allies responding to unrelenting attacks and fighting for our livelihoods.
We don’t know what the future holds for the program that has been a lifeline for so many undocumented people, but that won’t stop us from demanding more from the elected officials who promised to protect immigrant communities.
A better future with permanent protections for all 11 million is possible, but not without your support, NAME/friend. Thank you.
