Friends and supporters, It’s hard to imagine the devastation left in the wake of Hurricane Helene - we all see the pictures and videos but there is so much we don’t see - the loss of life and the impact on families, children who’ve lost their homes, their schools. Hundreds of thousands without communication, medication, electricity, food and clean drinking water. We need Prayer now more than ever. It’s time to put politics aside and pull together to help our community. I have directed key staff and campaign volunteers to shift their focus to help wherever they can. We are communicating with multiple relief efforts and organizations to try and direct aid where it is most needed. Right now North Carolinians are in a crisis situation. We must all do everything we can to help. But recovery will be a very long process. Many schools are impacted. Thousands of students, teachers and staff. We are already discussing recovery needs in the impacted areas and are dedicated to the long-term recovery. We will continue to be where we are needed. Please join us.
