We’re putting a lot of work in right now. We’re trying to build out an endgame strategy that can win. That’s incredibly important.

But yesterday, Jack Smith’s legal brief against Trump over his attempt to subvert the elections in 2020 became public.

Trump’s personal statements are now public record, as well as those of his inner circle. It is a record of criminal intent. There is no denying now that Donald Trump personally led the efforts to delegitimize the 2020 elections and prevent an orderly, peaceful transition of power after he lost.

It is a record of Trump’s efforts to violate the Constitution. Period.

So what we are doing now — mobilizing to defeat Trump in the critical swing states that will decide the election — goes in tandem with the plans we are making for what comes after Election Day.

What comes next, after we defeat Donald Trump, is just as important as winning this election. We knew we needed to be prepared for anything after January 6th. Today, after this public filing, it’s as good a reminder as any that we have to redouble our efforts to defend our democracy, no matter what.
