The devastation from Hurricane Helene continues to grow. The storm has now claimed 202 lives, with more than half of those deaths occurring in North Carolina. Entire communities in the state have been destroyed, leaving countless families without homes or even basic necessities.

Hundreds of people are still missing as the search for survivors continues. This is one of the most catastrophic storms of the century, and the road to recovery will take years.
