Future Coalition is the leading organization behind progressive youth activism. Our intergenerational team is providing young people with the tools, resources, and support to power their ideas and amplify their impact around the nation.

Hey Friend!

With 32 days away from November 5th, here’s what you need to know:

“Youth voters in Michigan focus on issues in
vice presidential debate”

- MSNBC

  • Young people have a lot to say about this debate. Issues like gun control and abortion rights, and other issues that young people care about were talked about more in this debate, but how these issues affect young people was still left up for discussion. Despite this, many young voters’ enthusiasm has been growing as they head to the polls.

Young activists know that Donald Trump and J.D. Vance will ruin our hopes for a progressive future. This debate showed that young people can work towards a progressive future with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

“College Student Voter Turnout Is Way Up, After a History of Low Voting Rates”

-Teen Vogue

  • More than half of Americans ages 18 to 24 turned out for the 2020 general election, which was 8% more than in 2016. This is a critical election, and young people will play a huge role in electing the next president. Young people are hopeful that there will be a change with Kamala, whereas Trump will bring us backward.

Friend, early voting has officially begun! As we head into the final stretch of the election, we want to take note of the monumental energy shift.

Young activists are registering to vote and getting involved in turning out voters because there is an opportunity for change. This election is the most important election of our lifetimes, and they know what’s at stake

“When VP Harris announced that she was running… Like more people [got] involved. More support, more work, more canvassing, more text banking. But it's good, it's good.”

- Davante Jennings

Future Coalition is determined to empower young leaders and activists to expand their work in areas that are typically underfunded. That’s why Future Coalition is working with young activists and youth-centered groups in key states like Georgia so they can expand their reach equitably for years to come.

Creating lasting impact means developing intergenerational relationships and collaboration across communities for groups to build connections, share resources, and inspire growth through shared goals.

In solidarity,

Future Coalition
