Hey, John, it’s Grayson here, Wesley’s campaign manager.
It’s been a whirlwind of a week here at Team Harris. You may not know this, but much of our campaign team is located out west – in fact, I’m here in Morganton, where just yesterday was the first time I was even able to brew a pot of coffee since Helene blew through.
As a proud Western North Carolinian and Wesley’s campaign manager, I want to say thank you to everyone who responded to Wesley’s calls for contributions to the NC Disaster Relief Fund earlier this week.
It’s not an easy decision to stop fundraising for yourself so close to the most important election of our lifetimes, but Wesley’s big heart is one of the reasons why I truly believe it’s so important that we elect him as our next Treasurer. We need someone in that office who will put our people and our communities first every time, even when it’s not always the politically advantageous thing to do.
There’s a lot of work ahead to pick up the pieces here in WNC. But we’re also only 33 days away from election day, and just two weeks out from early voting. There’s a lot our campaign needs to do over the next month or so to make sure that Wesley wins this race, and even as my community is still picking up the pieces after this storm, we’ve still got a lot of voters in the rest of the state that we need to get our message out to.
So if you can afford it, will you consider making a contribution to Wesley’s campaign today? Anything you can give will help us have the resources we need to stay competitive and make sure our next Treasurer is someone who will fight for all of North Carolina, every time.
