While California is generally considered a “blue state,” areas like the Central Valley have been shifting red over the years. When Josh was first elected in 2018, Democrats controlled seven swing seats in California. Now he’s the only Democrat left standing in the Central Valley.

Dark GOP money has now made its way into the Valley. National Republicans are spending millions on TV ads to take down Josh and flip this seat red.

The bottom line is this, John: The road to taking back the House for Democrats runs right through California’s 9th District. And Republicans know it too.
