Events



→ Team Wittman had a fantastic week traveling around the district, visiting
every GOP committee meeting and doing some doorknocking. A big thank you to
King William, King and Queen, Poquoson, and many more for welcoming us at your
meetings! We always enjoy connecting with our community and hearing your
concerns both at the doors and in the committees.



→ Team Wittman had a fantastic time at our Virginia State Fair this past
Friday. Thank you to everyone who helped create such a great time for everyone
and we look forward to next year's fair.



→ Thank you to all the volunteers that helped to make the Wings, Wheels, and
Keels possible this past Saturday in Middlesex. If you missed this years, be
sure to join them next year!



→ King William put on an amazing Red, White, and Vote Fundraiser. It was
exciting to meet old and new friends and be a part of a great event with great
people.



→ We had a fun time at the Northern Neck Land Conservancy's Boots and BBQ. It
was great to meet with so many constituents and discuss our great Northern Neck
and our commitment to protecting our farming lands, woodlands, and more.



→ We had an incredible time at our own Seafood, Sounds, and Sips fundraiser. A
huge thank you to everyone who made the trip to come see us, enjoy delicious
food and listen to fantastic music. Your support makes everything we do
possible!



→ A heartfelt thank you to Siobhan and Lloyd Dunnavant for putting on a packed
house of over 100 guests for us this past Wednesday. We're also grateful to
everyone who sponsored this amazing meet and greet—your support and hard work
are truly appreciated and do not go unnoticed.



→ Our signs are going up! We are starting to put up 4x8’s all over the
district! If you have a location for a 4x4 or 4x8 Rob Wittman for Congress sign

→ Congressman Wittman is seeking interns for the 2024 election season to serve
on his campaign team. This year will be an exciting campaign, and we need
committed interns ready to work for America’s First District.



Rob Wittman is service minded, results driven, and focused on leading the
district and the country forward. Continuing to get things done for the people
he serves, we are looking for committed interns who want to join the momentum.
This internship will teach you a variety of skills and be a launchpad into your
future career. It is a great fit for team players who enjoy working with others
to accomplish goals larger than themselves.

→ WITTMAN URGES ACTION TO PREVENT STRIKE AT PORT OF VIRGINIA

Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) joined 69 Members of Congress, including
senior leaders of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, in
calling on the Biden-Harris administration to work to prevent a work stoppage
at East and Gulf Coast ports, including the Port of Virginia. A potential
strike could lead to dire impacts to U.S. supply chains, the economy, and
American consumers.

→ Lawmakers Rob Wittman and Elise Stefanik are calling on the Air Force to
reduce its supply chain “dependency” on China for “critical weapons platforms
.”say the Air Force has increased its usage of Chinese suppliers by 68.8% in
the last year, according to a report from Govini in its Annual National
Security Scorecard.

→ Invest in Education Coalition, a national organization dedicated to
advancing school choice at the federal level, endorsed Representative Rob
Wittman (R-VA-1), in his re-election bid today.

Rep. Wittman has co-sponsored the Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA),
a bill that is designed to expand access to school choice for children
nationwide by funding K-12 scholarships through private donations that cover
essential elements such as tuition, tutoring and special needs services.
