As Israelis clean up the debris from the Iranian missile barrage Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised that Iran had "made a big mistake" and would "pay for" the attack. "We had 10 million people [practically the whole nation!] in shelters for about 45 minutes this evening, as Iran shot 193 ballistic missiles at Israel," said Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) senior contributing editor Caroline Glick on "Washington Watch" Tuesday. "It's been a rough day." Iran's attack was the most intense to date in a war approaching the one-year mark and came hours after "Israel sent ground forces into Lebanon for the first time - openly at any rate - during the course of this war," said Glick.

'Sunday Scaries' or Sabbath Satisfaction?

A recent survey of 2,000 American adults found that a feeling called the "Sunday Scaries" is disturbingly common, afflicting "the average American" 36 times per year (out of 52 weeks in total). According to the survey, conducted by Talker Research in partnership with Pacific Foods, this "anxiety (32%) or dread (17%) over what to expect for the following week" begins at 3:54 p.m., on average. In answer to this stressed, fearful, anxious fact of our culture, Scripture blows a refreshing gust of biblical wisdom: it doesn't have to be this way.

Virginia Teacher Fired over Pronoun Use Wins Settlement

In a settlement that experts say is a significant win for free speech, the West Point School Board in West Point, Va. agreed to pay more than $500,000 in damages and attorneys' fees to former high school French teacher Peter Vlaming after the Virginia Supreme Court ruled in December that he was wrongfully terminated for refusing to use pronouns that were opposite of a transgender-identifying student's biological sex.

Both Southern Utah University (SUU) and Boise State University's (BSU) female volleyball teams made the decision to refuse competing against a team with a male-born player. San Jose State University's (SJSU) Blaire Fleming (born Brayden Fleming) is the 6'1 biological male competing on the SJSU female volleyball team - the individual various outlets have attributed to the school's undefeated winning streak. However, after reassessing their initial decision, the University of Wyoming (UW) has added itself to the list of schools demanding fairness and safety in women's sports.
