Dear Reader,
Ballotpedia's “One Big Thing” is our commitment to closing the ballot information gap. This means expanding our coverage to include every election in the U.S., so voters can confidently head to the polls with all the information they need.
In my last email, I highlighted two unique local elections. Today, I’m excited to share two state-wide elections that we’re providing in-depth, marquee coverage of during this cycle:
-
We’re comprehensively covering the Wisconsin State Assembly elections, where Ballotpedia has identified 12 Assembly battleground districts. CNalysis projected that the outcomes of each of these districts would be decided within a margin of 10 or fewer percentage points. That would be an increase from 2022 when three Assembly districts were decided by 10 or fewer percentage points.
-
We’re providing in-depth coverage of the United States Senate election in Montana. This election features incumbent, Jon Tester, the only Democrat holding statewide office in Montana, while Republicans control the state’s legislature and governor’s office.
As of September 2024, we’ve already covered more than 17,000 local elections. For comparison, through the same period in 2022, we covered just over 8,500 local elections. This is double the amount of local elections covered!
Your support through the Ballotpedia Society allows us to continue this critical work, ensuring that no election goes uncovered.
