John,
In reaction to last night’s vice presidential debate, many people were surprised at how civilized it was — especially based on how contentious this race has been so far and the chaos we’ve been accustomed to from Donald Trump.
But we saw right through JD Vance as he dodged the questions of whether he would challenge the election results and pass a national abortion ban, blamed immigrants for the affordable housing crisis, and tried to backtrack on the brazen statements he has repeatedly made about childcare and women.
As Tim Walz said in his closing statement: JD Vance and Donald Trump are running on the same ticket and ultimately share the same extremist MAGA agenda. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are focused on a brighter, more sustainable future for all of us, our families, and our communities.
The work we’re doing to build support for our moms running up and down the ballot is critical to driving Democratic victories all the way up to Harris-Walz at the very top of the ticket.
But today, some political pundits are speculating that JD Vance’s convincing performance last night could actually push undecided swing voters in favor of the GOP. While we don’t agree that’s the case, we want to see how you’re feeling. We’re interested in hearing your honest opinion about last night’s VP debate:
Who do you think won last night's vice presidential debate?
JD VANCE
TIM WALZ
