John,
On this Teacher Appreciation Day, we give thanks and appreciation to teachers and the lasting contributions they've made to our lives and our children's lives. Their dedication has never been more evident than now, as they work diligently in the face of an unprecedented crisis to keep students engaged and learning in virtual environments.
It's been two years since Arizona teachers wore #RedForEd and rallied for better pay. Arizona educators -- and educators across the country -- deserve salaries that reflect their true worth and recognize their value. Unfortunately, we are still spending so much less on our schools now than we did a decade ago.
I will be a strong advocate in Congress for our teachers and public schools. Can you pitch in to help me get there?

We've all heard the adage: Opportunity begins with education. That is a universal truth. Public education was the foundation of opportunity and the pathway to progress for my family. This has been true for our three kids, all of whom attended public schools, just as it is true for all American families. It is incumbent upon us to ensure every child receives a quality education, regardless of their zip code.
A strong public school system has been instrumental in America's history and modern economic success, and we must be vigilant against efforts to erode or undermine it. I stand firmly against the privatization of public schools and against defunding public schools through alleged "choice" programs like vouchers.
When our public schools are strong, our teachers will get the support they need -- and our children will benefit. We know that a higher investment in K-12 public schools means better student outcomes, but we need elected officials to fight for it. Too many special interests in Washington and their allies -- like Betsy DeVos -- have made it their mission to cut public school funding, and children all around our country are paying the price.
I will stand up to those special interests and lift up our teachers and students. But I can't do it alone. Can you please contribute to ensure we have the resources needed to get our message out to all of AZ-06? I am ready to take on the special interests on behalf of our kids and our teachers...please join me.

Special shoutout to all of the incredible teachers who made a lifelong impact on me, from kindergarten all the way through medical school. I am forever grateful.
With deep appreciation,
Hiral
