Wisconsin Public Radio: Republican bill would abolish Wisconsin Elections Commission [[link removed]]
John: First, Opponents of voting rights gerrymandered Wisconsin. Then they lost critical elections for Governor and State Supreme Court. Then they tried to fire the nonpartisan Wisconsin Elections Commission Administrator. Now they want to abolish the commission and give it's power to themselves to run their partisan agenda.
The Elections Administrator -- who " has been the subject of conspiracy theories and threats from election skeptics who falsely claim she was part of a plan to rig the 2020 vote in Wisconsin " -- has refused to give in to lies about how elections are run in Wisconsin. So the vote suppressors in the Wisconsin legislature just introduced a bill that would abolish the Wisconsin Elections Commission entirely and grant more power over elections to the state's Republican-controlled Legislature.
These state legislators are clearly obsessed with protecting their own power and will seemingly stop at nothing to stay in control of the most gerrymandered state in the country. This bill raises huge concerns about how this critical state -- where the margin of victory in the last presidential election came down to less than a percentage point -- will conduct the 2024 election.
John: Our work in Wisconsin is incredibly important. Pitch in $25 or whatever you can today to hold these state legislators accountable, defend the rule of law, and protect our right to vote in Wisconsin and beyond >> [[link removed]]

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
