In addition to these response efforts, at the request of the Georgia Department of Agriculture and as a member of the National Animal Rescue & Sheltering Coalition, our disaster responders are on the ground in Georgia assisting with impact and needs assessments in the aftermath of the storm.
We also conducted water and land search-and-rescue assessments and have been supporting impacted communities with pet food and other critical supplies for animals and pet owners affected by the storm in Florida, and over the weekend, we assisted with the emergency transport of 37 shelter cats, all unowned, after Franklin County Humane Society experienced flooding.
During emergency situations like this, it’s critical that we have support from compassionate people like you. While our response to this disaster continues to evolve, we hope we can count on you. Please make an urgent gift today to support our lifesaving efforts for communities, people and pets in need. |
