Will you join us in prayer?

Dear John,

Today, protestors erected a 15-foot inflatable golden calf that looks like President Trump on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

The group, so-called "Faithful America," said they did it to protest Family Research Council's Pray Vote Stand Summit which starts tomorrow.

Unwittingly, this was a prophetic act by this anti-Christian organization. At this year's Pray Vote Stand Summit, I believe we will be tearing down idols and strongholds that have their grip on our nation, leading us down a path of spiritual and political destruction.

In a statement about the display, the group's executive director Rev. Nathan Empsall claims that FRC is "replacing Christ with Trump and his pledge to be a vengeful dictator on day one," and that we are "embracing his conspiracy theories, cruelty, and January 6-style violence of far-right Christian nationalism."

While this isn't the first time we've been accused of being Christian nationalists, nor is it the first time we've been protested, this claim couldn't be further from the truth.

Since our founding in 1983, Family Research Council has always served an audience of one -- God. We have always been beholden to biblical principles, not politicians or political parties.

Even though this group claims that we are "hijacking" the Christian faith, the irony is, the more accurately named "Faith-less" America and their idol would have been better suited for the Democratic Convention in Chicago, where, like the wayward Israelites offering up their children to Molech, Planned Parenthood performed nearly two dozen abortions.

While the inflatable has already been taken down by Capitol Police, the group said they plan to redo their display tomorrow outside of our Pray Vote Stand Summit.

We know that the enemy loves to try and stop God from working and with this protest coming right before our event kicks off, we know that God is on the move ahead of FRC's Pray Vote Stand Summit.

As our team prepares for this spiritually significant event, will you join us in prayer? Not only for the safety and well-being of our staff, speakers, and attendees, but that God would work powerfully through this event, rend the heavens, come down, and move in our land.

From this display to Iran's attack on Israel this week, we are living in truly unprecedented times.

For this reason, I am putting out an urgent call to Christians across the nation to appeal to heaven at this critical hour.

Our nation is in trouble and the only solution is a return to God.

The election this fall is crucial, but the reality is, it won't solve our nation's sin problem. It may even worsen it. The solution is deeper -- it's spiritual.

That's exactly why we're kicking off this year's Pray Vote Stand Summit with a special night of Prayer and Worship.

Now is not the time for believers to sit back as spectators, but to engage boldly by praying for God to work, voting for biblical values, and standing for truth in our increasingly hostile culture.

It's not too late to join us at the Pray Vote Stand Summit. To register, please visit prayvotestand.org or register at the door.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer at this urgent time.
