Arizona secretary of state sues county for not enforcing election rules

  • Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes (D) sued Pinal County over its refusal to enforce part of the state's Elections Procedural Manual that allows voters to cast a ballot if they show up at the wrong precinct. Fontes asked for a ruling by Friday.

California court rejects MAGA candidate’s attempt to overturn results

  • In a win for voters, a California appeals court rejected a bid from a MAGA candidate to overturn her April primary election loss for the Shasta County Board of Supervisors. A lower court previously rejected the case after a two-day evidentiary hearing.
