As the first Jewish Latina Democrat elected to the Florida Senate, I have always been proud to celebrate Jewish values and traditions.
Tonight, we celebrate Rosh Hashanah and the start of the new year. But while Rosh Hashanah is usually a time of hope and joy, our community is saddened by the violent attacks on Israel.
In the spirit of Rosh Hashanah, I'd like to invite everyone to hope for peace, justice and to stand with me against hatred and antisemitism. May this new year bring the swift return of all the hostages.
