LCV VF DEBATE UPDATE: Last night, Tim Walz and JD Vance squared off in the vice presidential debate — and Tim Walz scored a big win against Vance.

Vance tried to “sanewash” Trump, but he mostly mimicked his running mate by spreading misinformation, shilling for Big Oil, and cosigning Project 2025 policies — all while Walz made a clear, strong case for electing Kamala Harris.

Now, with early voting underway and mere weeks to go until November 5, everything is going to come down to voter turnout — and the truth is, even with how these debates went, we’re behind in the states that will decide this election.

LCV Victory Fund is currently running major field programs reaching 1 million voters in PA, MI, AZ, NC, WI, and NV. We’re deeply concerned by how many voters are STILL undecided — and there are STILL so many more people to reach.

Bottom line, if we can’t scale up our get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts now, we could be putting JD Vance a heartbeat away from the presidency.
