Growing up in Michigan’s First District, I spent my summers swimming in Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. These waters are a vital part of our community, our economy, and our culture. And a great way to find out who’s chicken. (Looking at you, Maloo!)

Our Great Lakes are the largest body of freshwater in the world, and we need to protect them.

Protecting our Great Lakes is about preservation, responsible stewardship, safeguarding our public health, and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

I’m committed to working with our communities in Michigan’s 1st District to ensure that our Great Lakes and natural resources are preserved for the long term. This is personal for me, and it’s a promise I intend to keep.
