As the election gets closer and closer, the potential threats to our democracy are intensifying.

From the dangerous rhetoric of political leaders to the unsettling incidents of suspicious packages targeting election offices, the very foundation of our electoral system sometimes seems like it’s under attack.

An envelope containing white powder was sent to my election office last week from the “U.S. Traitor Elimination Army.” Luckily, testing revealed it to be non-hazardous, and I am grateful that no one was injured or harmed.

My office is only the latest election office to receive such suspicious packages. This is a blatant attempt to sow fear and chaos, while former President Donald Trump's escalating rhetoric about election “cheating” adds fuel to the fire.

We need to stand strong against these attacks on our democratic values. Your support is crucial in supporting my work to combat disinformation, strengthen our democracy, and ensure the integrity of our elections.
