John, it’s really
that simple. 

Last night’s Vice Presidential debate highlighted the stark differences
between JD Vance and Tim Walz in their solutions to ending gun violence. 

What’s JD Vance’s (and the entire far-right’s) approach to stopping school
shootings? MORE GUNS. 🤔 

We know for a FACT that armed guards or, god forbid armed TEACHERS, in
schools can't prevent school shootings. Just look at Parkland and Uvalde.
We've spent hundreds of millions of dollars fortifying schools but school
shootings are still happening. Why?

John, if
someone shows up to school with a gun, it’s already too late.

But JD Vance doesn't want to talk about that. He wants to talk about
"mental health," and yet, when we were fighting for billions of dollars in
mental health funding for schools, he OPPOSED the bill! The simple truth
is that to prevent gun violence, we have to PREVENT violence before it
happens. We need tighter laws so that no one should be able to pick up an
AR-15 and shoot up a classroom full of children, even if they wanted to.

Tim Walz knows it’s the guns. As a former teacher, he knows our schools
shouldn’t look like prisons. They should be safe places where kids can
learn, grow, and just be kids.

Harris and Walz have a proven track record of advocating for and passing
legislation that actually works, including expanded and improved
background checks.
