Get Ready to Vote Voter Resources Our goal this edition is to ensure our members have all the necessary resources to vote. Below are key dates, upcoming training/speaker events as well as links to voting information and tools. Let's do our final part to elect Harris/Walz and ensure our down ticket candidates win!!! Dates to Remember County election officials will begin mailing vote-by-mail ballots on or before October 7th. Secure drop boxes open on Tuesday, October 8th. And the last day to register to vote (mail & online) is Monday October 21st. After this deadline, same day voter registration is available at your county elections office or voting location - up to and including Election Day. The League of Women Voters of El Dorado County is hosting Candidate Forums on Wednesdays in October. The first forum is TODAY, October 2nd, at the Placerville Town Hall. The decisions these candidates make will affect the daily life of you and your family. Get informed so that you can cast your vote wisely. The forums will be recorded and available for viewing on the League's YouTube channel located HERE. CADEM Voter Resources For a comprehensive list of voter resources and quick links, please visit CADEM's website HERE. This site contains several key voting resources ranging from Voter Status to Endorsements to Tracking Your Ballot! We Still Need Volunteers Mail ballots arrive in voter mailboxes next week. We still need volunteers for the final push. Volunteer activities range from making phone calls to canvassing. Now is the time to take action! Volunteer - Do Something! Canvassing It all comes down to getting voters to vote. Canvassing your neighborhood with friends and talking with voters.... it's what makes it all happen! Literature drop, Saturday, Oct. 5 & Sunday, Oct. 6, 10am to 1pm, El Dorado Hills & Cameron Park We need lots of volunteers to hang "slate" cards on democratic doors only. We are NOT knocking on doors. New and skilled canvassers are welcome. We encourage you to bring a friend because we always canvas with a partner. Training and materials will be provided. We will be using the PDI (app we use to organize address completion) Mobile Connect app which makes it all fairly easy... so bring a well-powered smartphone. Harris - Walz yard signs are available for a limited time for delivery to your home, if you live in El Dorado County. We invite you to make a donation and support our efforts to elect endorsed Democratic candidates; local, state and national. After receiving your donation, a local EDC volunteer will deliver the yard sign to your home address, or you may arrange to pick it up at a location in El Dorado Hills, Placerville or South Lake Tahoe.
