Power the Polls

Power the Polls, a nonpartisan initiative for recruiting the next generation of poll workers, seeks volunteer poll workers to help ensure a free, fair, and safe election for all voters. Interested lawyers and law students should sign up with Power the Polls at [link removed]. Applicants will be directed to their local election administrator's website to complete their application. Power the Polls will provide guidance throughout the process. Lawyers may be barred in any state, and this project is open to law students.

Join as a Volunteer Leader for Nonpartisan National Voter Hotline ([link removed])

Election Official Legal Defense Network

21+ Hours. The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law seeks legal volunteers to serve in leadership roles (captains and leads) for the non-partisan Election Protection national voter hotline (1-866-Our-Vote.) The hotline aids voters with problems and guides them throughout the voting process. The year-round hotline is staffed by trained legal volunteers and is operated and managed by the Lawyers’ Committee. This is a remote project, and lawyers may be barred in any state.

Draft Data Use Agreement for Rare Disease NPO ([link removed])

CACNA1A Foundation

CACNA1A needs a lawyer to draft a comprehensive Data Use Agreement to facilitate the sharing of census and clinical information with industry partners for drug development purposes. The agreement will promote collaboration with industry partners while safeguarding patient information and supporting the advancement of drug development efforts. This is a remote project, and lawyers may be barred in any state.

Help Athletics Nonprofit Become a Fiscal Sponsor ([link removed])

Colorado Athletics Foundation

This athletics org wants to provide funding to a school, but the school cannot receive donations and sponsorships into their organization. They will be a fiscal sponsor to provide a place to receive funding then pay for students needs. This is a remote project, and lawyers may be barred in any state.

Assist Borrowers with Student Debt Relief ([link removed])

Civic Nation

Civic Nation is hosting a series of virtual workshops to equip folks with up-to-date information and personalized assistance needed to make informed decisions about their student loans in response to the ongoing SAVE litigation and administrative forbearances. After training, volunteers will offer their availability for scheduled 1:1 virtual borrower support. This is a remote project, and lawyers may be barred in any state.
