Last night, J.D. Vance got one thing right: Even in his own state, a majority of voters oppose his extremist anti-choice stance on reproductive rights.

But there was also a lot he didn’t – or wouldn’t – say. He refused to say that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election. He rewrote the history of Trump’s many attempts to destroy the Affordable Care Act.

We know who J.D. Vance is. He’s the guy who said that the country is being run by “a bunch of childless cat ladies” and has pushed for higher taxes on people without kids to “punish the things that we think are bad.” He’s the guy who criticized Donald Trump for years and then joined his presidential ticket when it meant he could move ahead politically.

He’s wrong for Wisconsin. And he’s wrong for our country.

We need to keep him out of the White House – but we also need to elect a majority to Congress who will vote to codify reproductive rights and fight back against J.D. Vance’s pet policies.
