We are at the point of the campaign where the majority of the money we are raising is coming from individual, small-dollar donations — often in response to emails like this one.
This point has been an incredible advantage for our campaign. According to FEC reports, we have received almost seven times the small-dollar donations as our opponent.
If and when we win this race, we can all be proud that our grassroots fundraising will have been one of the deciding factors.
But we are also at the point of the campaign where we are spending more money than at any point before. Our ads are on the air, online and on the radio. We are firing on all cylinders in our efforts to talk to voters, persuade them, and make sure they have all the information they need to cast their ballot.
We are also preparing for large-scale early voting for the first time in a general election in Michigan's history after a constitutional amendment passed in the last election.
That means a small-dollar donation today is so incredibly important: It's how we're raising our money, we have to keep up our spending to reach voters, and we have to do it before they vote.
None of that is possible without people like you who I hope understand we are talking about control of the Senate and the White House in Michigan. So please:
