As I work with our teams in the field to help families in crisis around the world, I feel a sense of
determination that we all share as global citizens. While the COVID-19 pandemic is an emergency that each of
us is experiencing in our own lives, it is also one for each of us to respond to as humanitarians. It’s in
crises like these that we must show up to face our challenges together, so people, communities and economies
can recover and build a stronger tomorrow.

[ [link removed] ]#GivingTuesdayNow ends at midnight, but there’s still time to join donors in making an
impact for vulnerable communities. Your support can help us reach more families with the critical resources they need. A group of
generous supporters has contributed to our Matching Gift Challenge Fund to encourage people like you to
match their gifts. By matching their gifts, your generous support can help us provide twice the impact!

In places like Syria, where multiple crises are converging, vulnerable people are facing immense hardship.
One of our teams in Syria recently shared a story of how they are helping a woman face the challenges of
COVID-19. She and her family fled Aleppo five years ago, and since then they have been living in a camp
where accessing clean water has been a continual struggle. Last month, our Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
team distributed water tanks to her family and others in the area, allowing them to wash their hands, drink
clean water, cook, shower and clean their homes.
Support like this, along with health information sessions, makes all the difference for this family and
others as they hope to stay safe from infection and rebuild their lives.
Other teams all around the world are sharing their experiences with me as they deliver urgently needed
assistance, protect the health of communities, support local markets and shape a brighter future. In the
current crisis and those we face all year round, your support can help us save lives. [ [link removed] ]As this
#GivingTuesdayNow comes to a close, please contribute before midnight with your matching gift to help us go
twice as far.
Thank you for your generosity,
