About the job

As the Construction Project Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the Special Assistant to the Director within the Director’s Office. This role serves as a consultant to provide oversight and public works management for the Deschutes Estuary Restoration Project, coordinating closely with the Facilities Professional Services (FPS) division to ensure alignment with public works statutes and authorities. The position is estimated to be a ten-year project employment position established to deliver project management and technical guidance throughout the planning, design, and construction phases of the Deschutes Estuary Restoration. The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning and coordination of multiple interrelated projects to meet these objectives. The complexity and duration of the project require a high level of critical thinking and political awareness. Effective coordination with division experts, executive management, external stakeholders, legislators, and legislative staff is essential, as these groups are often concerned with significant regional changes.
