John,
Like so many of us, I watched the coverage and followed my friends' and loved ones' posts on social media in horror as the destruction of Hurricane Helene unfolded.
I was beyond relieved to hear that my siblings, nieces and nephews, along with their homes, were safe in western North Carolina.
But John, so many were not as fortunate.
Entire towns and sections of towns that I grew up with have been swept away.
People are still waiting to be evacuated in their secluded mountain residences with no electricity, cell service, or potable water.
Families are struggling to find groceries to feed their kids, and basic supplies are already dwindling.
And the devastation extends far beyond my home state of North Carolina.
That’s why today, we’re asking you to support frontline organizations that are working around the clock to help the thousands of people impacted by the flooding. Can you make a $15 contribution today to help relief efforts? Here are some national and state-based organizations that could use your help today →
Our thoughts are with those who have lost their homes, livelihoods, or loved ones during this disaster.
Sincerely,
Kirsten Collings
