Message from Marina Rosenberg, ADL’s SVP for International Affairs:
As we mark Rosh Hashanah – the Jewish New Year – our thoughts are with our colleagues and their families, and our friends in Israel, who are facing a multitude of threats and attacks, including a massive ballistic missile attack from Iran, while working to bring home the 101 people being held hostage in Gaza. While this past year has one of the most difficult in Israel’s history, the resilience and resolve of the Israeli people has been remarkable and a source of inspiration. We hope the new year brings security and peace to Israel and to Jewish communities around the world, and the return of all the hostages to their families and loved ones. Shana Tova – a happy,
healthy and peaceful year to all.

ADL staff and volunteer leaders met with dozens of visiting dignitaries, including heads of state, heads of governments and foreign ministers from around the world.
Countries ADL met with included states from Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Africa. The meetings largely focused on several issues including: the post-Oct 7th rise in global antisemitism and need for countries to adopt and implement the Global Guidelines for Countering Antisemitism; the need for states to hold the Iranian regime and its terror proxies accountable for its global terror activities; and for leaders to pressure the UN to ensure Hamas releases all the hostages, hold UNRWA responsible for supporting the 10/7 atrocities, address Hamas’s use of rape and sexual violence and ensure UNIFIL fulfills its mandate in South Lebanon.
In addition to the diplomatic meetings, ADL hosted a special briefing with
