Exciting news, John xxxxxx! Dr. Dara Kass and Dr. Megan Ranney will be joining us Thursday, May 7th, for our Facebook Live Town Hall on Healthcare and COVID-19 crisis! We will share updates on the current COVID-19 crisis, and then we’ll discuss what healthcare and healthcare delivery during the COVID-19 crisis. I hope you can join us, and please feel free to invite others! Dara Kass, MD is the founder of FemInEM. An emergency medicine physician and advocate for the advancement of women in medicine, she is passionate about creating a community where women in EM can act as champions for one another. She is a graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical School and Kings County Hospital’s residency program. Previously the director of undergraduate medical education at NYU, she now serves as an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Columbia University Center in NYC.

While treating patients during the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, Dr. Kass became infected. She has become a prominent voice advocating for access to personal protective equipment and more effective measures to combat the spread of the disease.

Megan Ranney, MD, MPH is a practicing emergency physician and researcher, focusing on the intersection between digital health, violence prevention, and public health.

She is the Director and founder of the Brown Emergency Digital Health Innovation (EDHI) program. She is also Chief Research Officer for the American Foundation for Firearm Injury Reduction in Medicine, the country's only non-profit committed to reducing firearm injury through the public health approach, and a founding partner of Get Us PPE, dedicated to matching donors to health systems in need of protective equipment. She is a Fellow of the fifth class of the Aspen Health Innovators Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
