We have a problem in Florida, John.
This November, Floridians will vote on a ballot measure that would add party labels to local school board races — possibly intensifying what has already turned into heated contests across the state.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his allies want to take control of school boards to shape the state’s education system to fit their extreme beliefs. We cannot let that happen.
The solution: Voto Latino plans on registering 60,000 new Latino voters in Florida before the first voter registration deadline on October 7th. Our community needs to make its voice heard this November to ensure this measure doesn't pass — we need to engage Latino voters to cast a ballot on Election Day.

If the measure passes, Gov. DeSantis would turn school board races into partisan battles for political gain instead of setting education policy for kids. Partisan fighting around school board races in Florida has already led to contentious debate, most recently on book bans.
Our research shows young Latino voters overwhelmingly support progressive policies. We need to make sure they cast a ballot this November to counter this blatant attempt at manipulating Florida’s education system.
The cost to reach one new voter in states like Florida has recently risen to $31. Can we count on you to power our voter registration work with a donation?
We won’t let this slide.
