This evening, our friends and neighbors of the Jewish faith, celebrate Rosh Hashanah. Typically a joyous occasion and the start of their new year, this year brings with it a grave situation.

We not only approach the 1 year anniversary of Hamas' attack that killed more than 1,000 people, but Israel is again under attack.

It is more important than ever that we stand in unwavering solidarity with the people of Israel and the Jewish faith. We must continue to work together to ensure that every person can live in peace, free from fear and hatred. Attacks on Israel are attacks on democracy and freedom, and we must not tolerate the rise of antisemitism in any form—at home or abroad.

As we enter this new year, let us renew our commitment to standing with our ally and supporting their right to exist.

L’shanah tovah. May this New Year bring strength, safety, and peace for Israel and Jewish communities everywhere.
