Robert has spent over 20 years on death row for the death of his daughter, Nikki, based on a debunked ‘Shaken Baby Syndrome’ hypothesis. Robert will be the first person in the U.S. executed based on this discredited theory unless Gov. Greg Abbott intervenes. 

Nikki’s tragic death was the result of undiagnosed viral and bacterial pneumonia, worsened by inappropriate respiratory-suppressing prescriptions, and an accidental fall from bed. Robert’s grief — the most profound loss any parent can experience — was compounded by his arrest before an autopsy was even performed then a conviction in which his own appointed lawyer did not investigate but instead agreed with the prosecution that it must be a “shaken baby” case.

We can’t give Robert back the time he has lost, but we can help spare him further grief and prevent the execution of an innocent father. We must act now to convince Gov. Abbott to prevent this irreversible mistake.
