COVID-19 has hit hospitality workers especially hard. Restaurant, bar, and
hotel workers have lost jobs, lost wages, and been forced to make
impossible decisions about how to support their families.
In honor of ‘Giving Tuesday Now’ we’re raising funds for the Unite Here
Education and Support Fund, which will provide immediate relief to
hospitality workers in Boston and beyond who have been impacted by this
crisis. Your contribution will help pay for:
* Health insurance, so families can continue to receive health care if
they have been laid off;
* Food, rent, and utilities so folks can remain in their homes and put
food on the table;
* Wages that have been lost due to reduced hours and lost tips; and,
* Retraining for new jobs during the economic downturn.
